That’s the 2011 Voices of Local Film poster, painted by Alexia Hemingway with the poster by Jossette Simo-Kieldgaard. Alexia has graciously allowed us to auction off the original painting at the Voices of Local Film event, with all proceeds benefiting the Palm Beach Film Society! UPDATED VOICES OF LOCAL FILM SCREENING INFORMATION!

There will be two separate screenings for Voices of Local Film 2011 on March 27, 2011 at the Muvico Parisian 20 and IMAX at CityPlace, West Palm Beach, Florida. The short films will screen at 7:15 pm, the two documentaries will screen at 9 pm. Click on the links below for more information and to purchase tickets:

The Bargain (Psychological Thriller)
Written and directed by Don Morton, starring Mike Leavitt, Mike McGill, Sarah Elizabeth Kenny and John Zambito. Every gift has a price. Without a near-perfect score on his final college exam, Blake Sims will lose the life-changing fellowship. How far will he go to ensure the security of his future?

The Brown Ultimatum (Comedy)
Written and directed by Chris Ng Mon and Don Morton, starring Chris Ng Mon, Don Morton, Sarah Elizabeth Kenny and Isabella Cisneiros. After Chad makes a huge mistake, he asks his best friend Mike to help him do something that will change their lives forever.

Confessions of a Paralyzed Robot (SciFi/Comedy)
Written and directed by Alex Haney, starring Richard Ribuffo. The story of a boy who grew up to be a man and never experienced anything in between.  He died in the very room in which he was born.” Merwin E, reclusive inventor, failed writer, encounters a haunting malfunction with Robot #7, forcing him to take control of his life and bury the past at any cost.

The Garbage of Jupiter Beach (Documentary)
Written and directed by Cyndi Lenz, starring Lynne Parrish Gibbons, Anita Lankler, Joan Ross and Bob Friedman. 15 years ago, Anita Lankler made a deal with the City of Jupiter: you let our dogs on the beach, we’ll pick up the garbage. The Friends of Jupiter Beach now boasts over 4,000 members who clean the beach every month.

House of Heartbreak (Drama)
Written and directed by V. Alex Marquez, starring Frank Licari and Elizabeth Lazo. A subconscious journey through the ironies of life and love, inside a house a man has built for himself.

Life Changes (Documentary)
Produced and directed by Grace Shafir; starring Vanessa Bastien, Damonio Hodges, Dilma Velazquea and Fabiola Rodriguez. What’s it like to be pregnant or a teen mother? Sixteen and pregnant is bad enough, but what if you’re twelve? Four girls face the challenges of pregnancy, parenting, poverty, and staying in school without baby  daddies. We follow Dilma, Vanessa, Fabiola, Damonia, and their babies for three years.

Red Princess Blues (Action/Thriller)
Written and directed by Alex Ferrari, starring Richard Tyson, Rachel Grant and Robert Forester. ZOE, a young teenage girl, is lured into an after hours carnival tent by the sleazy rock n’ roll carnie RIMO, and gets more then she bargained for. It’s up to the mysterious PRINCESS, star of the new knife show, to pull her out of the wolf’s den.

Touched by Magic (Comedy)
Directed by Ric Blackwell, written by Ric and Meredith Blackwell, starring Meredith Blackwell, Alan Stewart, Taylor Blackwell and Vinny Chimato. A woman named Taylor runs into the magician who performed at her birthday party when she was younger. He may have been the worst magician ever, but he made a life-long impression.
